Strapless gowns are the most popular, from straight, to scoop to sweetheart. What are the rules?
There are no hard, fast rules to this one. You have complete freedom to choose whichever necklace you love for your strapless gown. Just remember, big bling goes best with classic, clean gowns - you never want to cross into tacky!
V-Neck gowns are flattering for lots of different body shapes. What necklaces work with this intricate neckline?
There's no steadfast rule that you have to wear a necklace with a v-neck gown, but if you do, rule #1 is follow the neckline!! When it comes to style, use the gown's embellishments as your guide for finish, stone types and amount of shimmer. My personal favorite is lace detail against pearl accents.
I LOVE my asymmetrical dress! What necklace works with a one-shoulder gown?
Tricky, trendy but not impossible if you have to wear a necklace. Go simple and chic, something close to the neck (like a choker). You do not want to make statement here - there will be too much going on near your face!
How do I accessorize my halter dress with a necklace?
This can a tough style to accessorize, as well and is the perfect dress to go back to my first rule: asses your dress. First consider any embellishments at the bodice or on the straps, as there is usually detailing that makes a statement in itself. For halter gowns, I love a simple drop necklace.
What necklace is best for cowl necklines?
Apply the easiest rule here: follow the neckline of the gown. Round necklaces - at whichever length you prefer - work with a cowl neckline dress. Use the detailing of the straps as your style guide and keep it clean. You don't want to detract from the eye moving up to your beautiful face!
